About

Dr. Sorawit Narupiti has worked at Department of Civil Engineering, Chulalongkorn University since 1996. He has a wide interest in the field of transportation system, including Intelligent Transport System (ITS), Sustainable Mobility, Transport Policy, Traffic Operations and Management.  During his study at Michigan State University, he engaged in many research work, for example, transport model for East Lansing, ATIS/ATMS project in Oakland county, Accident analysis, Driver's license exam analysis.

Dr. Sorawit has a wide experience in transport matters. Academically, he has served as Editorial committee for Journal of Intelligent Transportation System Research (JITSR), International Scientific Committee member of Eastern Society for Transportation Studies (EASTS), and numerous reviewer positions in jourmals and conferences.

Dr. Sorawit is a member of professional organizations, including Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT), Better Road Association of Thailand (RATH), Thai Society for Transportation and Traffic Studies (TSTS), Asian Transportation Research Society (ATRANS), Thai ITS Association (ITS Thailand), in which the last one he has served as President of ITS Thailand.

Dr. Sorawit has wide range of professional experience. He has worked domestically and internationally in many consulting and advisory projects. Notable past projects dealed with national transport policy, organizational transport strategies, traffic planning and modeling, sustainable transport
